Why take a guided tour?
One of the biggest perks of taking guided nature tours is having someone to show you how to see the forest for the trees – literally. Jill Moore, a certified master naturalist, will give you a bird’s eye, bug’s eye, and dolphin’s eye view of the Lowcountry, introducing you to the area’s most fascinating flora and fauna. Whether you visit maritime forests, blackwater swamps, or beautiful beaches, she’ll help you experience Lowcountry landscapes live never before.
How far in advance should I book a private tour?
We ask that you book private tours at least two weeks in advance so we have time to plan your perfect itinerary and coordinate any equipment rentals.
What’s your cancellation policy?
You’re able to cancel your tour or trip free of charge up to 72 hours in advance. If rentals are involved, there will be a 50% administration fee.
What kind of equipment should I bring?
Besides a good attitude, a great pair of walking shoes, and a whole lot of water, the items you’ll need depend on your tour or activity.
- Nature Tours and Beach Discovery Walks: For on-foot, outdoor excursions, we recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, and a camera to capture the Spoonbill that just flew by.
- Biking Tours: All biking tours are BYOB (bring your own bike)!
- Water Activities: All water activity equipment, like kayaks, paddleboards, skiffs, etc., will be provided.
- Overnight Trips: For a complete packing list, please email Jill Moore at [email protected].
