  • Pinckney, Sunday, May 1st & Monday, May 2nd
    • A guided nature tour of Pinckney Wildlife Nature Refuge, exclusively for HHP residents! As seen in our “Places to Visit in the Low Country” presentation, join Jill on either date to explore over 4000 acres of established wildlife refuge; trails for hiking and biking through freshwater ponds, salt marsh flats, mari-time forest and a rookery filled with nesting birds!
  • Roxbury, Saturday, May 7th (9:30 – 11:30 P.M.)
    • Join Jill for a nature walk through Roxbury Park! Owned and managed by the town of Meggett, SC, this park is home to over 100 species of wildlife. 3,800 ft of frontage along the Toogoodoo creek, as well as both salt and freshwater ponds! There will be plenty of flora and fauna to be on the lookout for, and Jill will be there to guide you the whole way!
  • Cumberland Island Adventure, Thursday, May 12th – Friday, May 13th
    • Reserve your spot now for this weekend getaway to the famous, historical Cumberland Island! Ferry ride, guided tours, naturalist led explorations, and MOORE!
    • Day 1 – After checking into our lodging, we’ll explore and enjoy the quaint little town of St. Mary’s, and follow with dinner at a local seafood spot!
    • Day 2 – Let the adventure begin! A fully packed day of nature walks and exploration through Cumberland Island, beginning and ending with a scenic ferry ride!

  • Port Royal Cypress Wetlands
    • Second Saturday & Fourth Friday monthly walk – Join Jill for this twice a month tour of the beautiful Port Royal Cypress Wetlands! A picture of the Lowcountry, there’s plenty of regional nature to admire. A perfect trip for birders and Lowcountry landscape lovers alike!

  • Spanish Moss Bike Ride, Sunday, May 15th (3-5 P.M.)
    • From start to finish the Spanish Moss Trail is about 10 miles one direction. From where we begin we’ll travel about 16 miles round trip. It’s flat terrain (we are in the Lowcountry!) and we stop occasionally for nature and some history.
      • Location: Spanish Moss Bike Trail, 2824 Broome Ln, Beaufort, SC 29902. This is the parking area where we will meet.
    • Wear comfy clothes, hydrate and BYOB (bring your own bike!)
  • Dolphin Eco Cruise, Wednesday, May 25th (4-6 P.M. OR 6:30-8:30 P.M.)
    • One of the best ways to explore the unique waterways of the Lowcountry is by boat! With certified master naturalist, Jill Moore and Captain Richard Martinez (a life-time local), as your guides you will experience all there is to offer. While in search of the highlight of the cruise, our beloved Atlantic Bottle-nosed Dolphin, you’ll also discover the details of the Port Royal Sound eco-system with hands-on experiences of crabs, oysters and more!
